If you use a news/feed-reader and you’re not already subscribed to the L-Lingo blog then you should be, as 2017 is going to be an amazing year!
Over the past years we have often been asked why our mobile versions are not part of the L-Lingo subscription and if its possible to have a subscription plan that covers all L-Lingo languages.
Today, we have replaced our old Premium subscription and Desktop Versions with two new subscription plans. The new basic plan now includes free access to all lessons on your iOS or Android devices. The new pro plan gives you access to all 20+ languages that L-Lingo offers and is especially interesting for all of you that are learning two or more languages.
With this change, we have also discontinued our desktop versions. By focusing on the web versions, we are able to bring new features and updates more quickly to you.
In case you have any questions, please let us know.
In the last few years, the browser technology has made great progress and as a result we are now able to give our users the same great L-Lingo Experience without being dependent on the Adobe Flash plugin.
We are currently rolling out a new web design and L-Lingo online application that no longer relies on the flash plugin. We have kept the structure, content and navigation of the web application very similar and thus you should have no problems in using the new version.
Although the new version will also enable us to offer the web app on mobile devices like Android or iOS, the current version is optimised for Desktop use. For mobile devices we strongly recommend you to use our native mobile apps.
As this has been a complete rewrite of the flash application we tested the new version extensively. However there still might be some issues that we did not spot. So in case you have any problems, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org!
We have changed the way you login into the online version of L-Lingo. You can now login on the top right of our website and then select the language you want to learn and start the web application.
What you should know:
Premium/Ultimate (Paid) Subscribers:
You can now also login with your email address instead of the cryptic username we send you by email when you purchased the premium subscription the first time.
When you click on your name, you can now access your account and e.g. change your email address or password.
Newsletter Signup for Extended Trial Version:
For the ones who got the login when signing up for our newsletter, you now have to use your email address to login together with the password that we send you after you signed up to our newsletter.
These changes are part of an ongoing effort to improve our website and make learning with L-Lingo even more effective. So stay tuned.
In case you face any problems with the new login, please contact us via our contact form.
We have just released a new iOS Version with the Version Number 5.35. It is important that you install this update and launch the app and a quiz at least once. This Version will prepare the app to be able to transfer its lesson statistics to our brand new major version (probably 6.00) that will be released in 1-2 weeks from now. If you do not install and launch the intermediary Version 5.35 you might loose the statistics data on your lessons with the next major update.
I know many of you have been waiting for this.
We are happy to let you know that Apple has approved our iPhone Apps. You can now use L-Lingo on your iPhone or iPod Touch and we offer all our languages: Arabic, Chinese Mandarin, Burmese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese.
You can find all our Apps in the Apple App Store or on iTunes.
The iPhone App offers you the first 65 lessons of L-Lingo with a training mode and picture and translation quizzes. So it is a great way to learn your favorite Asian language when on the go. Here are some screen shots of L-Lingo Learn Thai.
It does not contain a few features from the Desktop Version (audio mp3 files, slow speech option, printable flashcards and textbook) but with its quizzes and language content its a great way to support your language learning when away from the computer.
We currently do not yet offer a free trial version (developing and getting Apps approved takes some time). If you have any questions or technical problems with the App, please drop us a line under email@example.com so that we can fix and address any problems. We are very dedicated to constantly improving our products.
Please note: L-Lingo for iOS only runs on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3rd and 4th Generation. A special iPad Version is under development. So stay tuned!
If you have already purchased L-Lingo Arabic and would like to have an upgrade, please contact us under firstname.lastname@example.org stating your order confirmation number from your purchase.
We are happy to let you know that we have updated L-Lingo Arabic to a new Version with the following new features:
- Grammar notes explaining the structure and system of the Arabic language (available for the first 60 lessons)
- Arabic transcription. Besides the Arabic script you can now also see the transcription in western letters. You can easily switch between Arabic transcription and Arabic script in each quiz.
- Lots of small improvements on design and functionality
You can download the trial version from our website (available for Windows and Mac). Please note that these enhancements are currently only available in the Desktop Versions (Professional and Ultimate) but not yet in the online Version (Premium).
If you have purchased L-Lingo Arabic previously and want to receive an update, please send us an email under email@example.com and mention your date of purchase and your order confirmation number.
We haven’t been updating the blog for a few months but this did not mean that we went on Holidays!
We were working hard on our Android mobile Version of L-Lingo and we are very pleased to announce that the same is now available in the Android Market.
L-Lingo for Android offers you a similar approach to Language Learning like our existing Desktop version.
So you could easily use the Desktop Version at home and then repeat the same lessons with your smartphone when on the go. Please note that the Desktop Version has still a number of features that -due to the limitations of smart phones- are not available on the Android Phone (like printable textbooks, flashcards, slow speech options). Also due to size limitations only the first 65 lessons are available on the Android Version. However all essential quizzes and the trainings mode are of course available.
You can download test versions for all our languages from the Android market. So you can test drive the first 5 lessons for free and see for yourself if you like our approach to learning an Asian language.
You can see all versions from below link. Then just scroll down to the free trial versions:
